Fordhook Giant is chard on a grand scale—huge, deeply crinkled emerald leaves wrapped around thick, luminous golden stems that cook up tender and gently sweet. It’s a true “cut-and-come-again” workhorse: sow after last frost (or start indoors 4–6 weeks early), thin to 18 inches so plants can reach full monumental size, keep water consistent for the sweetest leaves, and harvest outer leaves and ribs regularly so the center keeps producing for months.
